Thanks for stopping by!

When a person gains over 100 pounds, and they are over 40, their skin isn't quite as elastic as it was when they were younger.  You can exercise until you drop every single day and there will be leftover skin that hangs despite all the hard effort to get it off.
Two years after my Gastric Bypass surgery, in August and October of 2003 I underwent an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and breast lift.  I really wanted and desperately needed a whole body lift but the doctor that I chose didn't perform that surgery at the time.  I also needed a brachioplasty due to the hanging skin on my arms but I never got the chance to get that done.
The doctor did a remarkable job on me however, and I'm proud of his work.  Below are the before and after pictures of my tummy tuck and also a picture of the actual fat he removed.   It's a little graphic so don't say you weren't warned!

Unfortunately tummy tucks don't take care of stretch marks caused by two previous pregnancies, one of which was a twin pregnancy.  And tanning just makes them stand out even more.  I hate having scars but it's better than having all that fat hanging around!
And I'll never be brave enough to take a full body picture because my arms and legs need surgery badly but it's just too much money and pain to go through now that I'm in my 50's.  *sigh*
